Elizabeth has trained and apprenticed under a variety of respected yoga teachers for hundreds of hours in yoga alignment and therapy. Working with people who have injuries and other therapeutic needs is a passion of Elizabeth’s. In addition to instructing students of all ages and ability levels, she has rehabilitated many of her own personal injuries, both acute and chronic, with the help of her teachers by using a unique blend of  strong alignment principles, hands-on adjustments, observation and intuition. It has been her direct experience that all injuries, patterns, and even chronic pain can shift and heal through the yogic process.

Lessons occur in the privacy of your own home, with specialized attention, hands-on assistance and adjustments, yoga therapeutic bodywork, and personalized yoga routines. Private Groups

Great for your office staff, bachelorette parties, group of friends, or family members. Elizabeth offers group rates for those wishing to have a personalized yoga class taught in their own optimal timeframe and space. She will cater the class to the specific needs of your group. Possibilities for locations include your home, office, or outdoor locations such as beaches and parks around the Santa Cruz area. Rented indoor studio space can also be arranged.

Anatomy of a Private Lesson

  1. Initial Analysis

    During the initial consultation session, students will discuss what their personal goals are for their time together. Elizabeth will observe the student’s strengths as well as misalignments to establish a baseline from which to build.

  2. Tailored Class

    Each student will receive a yoga lesson that has been created to target areas of need and build toward the student’s goals.

  3. Hands-on Adjustments

    Adjustments will be done to teach the student the alignment principles to support growth in his or her practice.

  4. Home Program

    Elizabeth will create a home program unique to the student to support his/her goals, and will modify and adapt the program as these goals are met or change.

  5. Ongoing Evaluation

    A treatment plan will be formulated and adjusted with the student’s budget and timeline in mind, with regularly scheduled private sessions.
