I’ve been trying to think about how I actually spend my days here, so that I can offer you a little snapshot of my life on the island. As I try to think back on the almost 3 weeks I’ve spent here, though, they seem to melt away into a sea of beautiful people, yoga and amazing food….
What is it that realtors always say? Location, Location, Location! Well, that describes this place to a T. The inside is nothing to write home about… we have simple tile floors, bare white walls and almost no furniture, although we have done our best to decorate with beautiful cloths, tapestries, string lights and paint!
Prepare yourselves… you’re about to read (or skim) many many blog posts about food. Why? Because the food in Thailand is to die for.
On one hand it’s amazing how much can fit in a backpack, and yet inevitably choices need to be made. What goes and what stays behind?
This winter solstice seemed darker than most. Maybe it was the lunar eclipse that occurred an hour or so after midnight, or the clouds and incessant rain that cloaked the sky over usually-sunny southern California for days on end.
I’ve always wanted a way to share my experiences with my yoga friends and family without sending out mass-emails. After the past year and a half of fielding questions about my travels (often along the lines of: “What exactly were you doing in Burma?” or “Where are you going now?!”), I am finally joining the world of bloggers.
